Joel E. Welch, owner and Chief Learning Officer (CLO) created Macklyn LLC* to help others advance their L&D (Learning & Development) efforts. Macklyn LLC is a labor of love inspired by his family and the desire to help others. It represents the fulfillment of a life-long dream.
Joel is a Senior Learning & Development (L&D) professional who built a career helping people and organizations learn. He has 35 years of experience in both the non-profit and corporate sectors in North America and Australia. He has demonstrated the ability to develop effective learning strategies, hire the right people, and to build technical and leadership learning programs from the ground up while keeping an eye on the strategic impact of each initiative. His systemic organizational view ensures the impact on the whole organization is considered through use of collaborative methodologies. His technical leadership background, creativity, and ability to alternate between logical and intuitive approaches provide him with a unique perspective during strategic planning, establishing goals and objectives to support strategy, and tactical implementations.
