Joel and I worked together on the NAB Show ten years ago, when I was tasked with rebranding educational programming for all of NAB’s partnerships to ensure the best content for each audience and attendance pattern. I remember my first conversation with him – how he understood my mandate immediately, and how supportive he was. In our many telephone conversations and emails I found him to be quietly competent, thoughtful and thorough. A consummate professional, Joel never missed a deadline. But more important than that, Joel has the soul of a poet. Even now I find his LinkedIn musings thought-provoking.
